I have been practicing Five-Element Acupuncture for 25 years - first in Bethesda, MD and then in Seattle, WA.  I did my initial acupuncture training at the Traditional Acupuncture Institute and studied extensively with JR and Judy Worsley from 1984 through 2007.  I have also practiced T'ai Chi since 1976 and taught it since 1982.  Clinical teaching has been a rewarding part of my work - I supervised in the clinic at the Traditional Acupuncture Institute in Colombia, MD and have mentored many students through their clinical training here in Seattle.

April Hulvershorn L.Ac., Dipl Ac. NCCAOM.

I have been practicing Five-Element Acupuncture for 10 years.  I chose this system of medicine because it works so directly and simply to facilitate profound and lasting change.  The treatments are extremely effective and I continue to learn, study and grow as a practitioner.

I did my acupuncture training at the Academy for Five-Element Acupuncture in Florida and had the good fortune to study with the late Professor J.R. Worsley until his death in 2003.  Prior to acupuncture school I worked in research at the Harvard School of Public Health and Bastyr University.  I hold a BS in Physics from the College of William and Mary.
